Staff
Harley D Berlant, CRCST graduated the first Physicians Assistant program in NY. He achieved his degree from Richmond College. He assisted in editing the original ASHCSP Technicians Manual and has had over two dozen articles published. He has worked in hospitals for over thirty years as a Manager in SPD and Materials Manager in the OR. He has taught the SPD program for certification during that time in south Florida. He has consulted and taught the SPD program in other countries. He has lectured across the country from Miami to Hawaii. Harley has received many accolades for his work in the field. He has received the John J. Perkins educational award. He has been a member of all CS organizations both local and national. Harley has achieved his Fellowship and Advanced Member in the field. Harley Is now the Perioperative Manager at Inova Alexandria Hospital In Virginia. He has been certified in IAHCSMM and is approved to teach the Certification classes.
Jennifer L. Berlant, CSPDT has assisted Harley in teaching the SPD program and consulted with him for over 5 years. Jenny was the youngest person to pass the certification exam when she passed it at 18 years of age. She has recently taught a class on her own and has had many of her students pass the certification exam. Jenny is presently working full time in the SPD field. Jenny is presently the Vice President of Creative Consultants. Jenny enlisted in the Navy in 2006 and is assigned to the USS Nimitz and is stationed in San Diego, CA. She will be finishing her degree in Nursing.
Patricia A. Berlant, CRCST has assisted Harley with the classes for 4 years. She has taken and passed the certification exam prior to working in the SPD field. Patty is the Treasurer of Creative Consultants. Patty has been working agency as a technician.
