How do I register for the class?
Fill out the application form and mail it in with the $200 registration fee.
How long is the class?
15-18 weeks depending on the holidays.
How much is the class?
The registration is $200 and must be sent in with the application.
The Tuition is $600 and can be paid off during the class.
When is the next IAHCSMM seminar?
There is a national seminar for ALL CS the first week of May in Orlando. You can contact IAHCSMM.org if you want more information.
Are there jobs available?
There are many jobs at this time.
We will advise all students of recent openings.
We are notified of openings before they are in the paper.
You must apply for any job you may want.
How much do the jobs in SPD pay?
Locally they pay $10 - $16 per hour.
The pay depends on experience and the size of the hospital.
Certified applicants can get more, depending on the facility and the manager.
There is an annual salary survey by Sterile Processing.org on the internet.
Can I work anywhere with a certification in SPD?
It is International and recognized everywhere.
Can I take the entire course over the internet?
Yes, with the proper advanced approval of the CC board.
Why should I attend the Seminar?
Networking with others in the field.

Early exposure to what the field of SPD involves.
FAQ's for Former Students
When do I need to start getting my continuing education credits for recertification?
As soon as possible. Use a folder to save any and all educational programs you attend.
Can I get my CEU's/Points online?
Yes! There are several sites to get them and many are free. You have to get them one at a time, but the major websites such as IAHCSMM.org and Sterileprocessing.org have the most information on the subject. Some other websites for education are:
SPSMedical.com and other companies such as Kimberly-Clark, KEM medical and 3M.
What if I lost my certificate?
Contact us with your graduation class, name, location and date and we will mail a copy of one out to you for $20.00.
Are all educational programs approved?
NO! Most unfortunately are not, so contact the organization ASAP and find out how to get them approved.
Can I contact someone I graduated with?
As we develop the web site, we will have a graduation brochure for every class and as many pictures as we can find. We will ask if the members will allow contact, and we will post their web address, with their permission.
Do you want my pictures?
YES! We are missing some pix and I will list them as we create the sites for each class. If you see we don't have a picture, send it in and we will get it uploaded.
Can I attend any classes for refresher?
Yes, please contact me about what subject you would like to attend and I will tell you when we will be doing that class. If you like, you can see the class on the Internet instead of attending the class.
Can I find other jobs on the website?
I will post those who ask me to. If you want to see openings around the country, look on the sterileprocessing.org or IAHCSMM.org web site.
